Tennis is fun, great for fitness and for developing hand eye co-ordination. It can be played by all ages and abilities – boys and girls can play together, so it’s ideal for mixed classes. Schools give most children their first experience of sport and their early experience can often determine whether they stay in the game. You don’t need tennis courts to play – it can be played in school halls, playgrounds or sports halls and a range of adapted equipment and modified or alternative versions of the game are available. Many schools are already using tennis as a driver for school improvement giving pupils experiences within and beyond the curriculum that develop valuable social and life skills. As part of our outreach program, we offer
- After school clubs
- Curriculum time classes
- Primary and secondary school tennis coaching sessions at the linked club
- Cardio Tennis incorporated into our secondary school program
- All our schools have a link with the nearest SSTC club to further progress their Tennis, should they wish to do so.
If your school is looking to start or further develop their school Tennis program, don’t hesitate to get in contact.
